Jamie Lee Curtis Would ‘Of Course’ Be Open to Appearing in MCU Film

Despite previously poking fun at the Marvel Cinematic Universe, actress Jamie Lee Curtis recently said that she wouldn’t mind at all stepping into a role for any comic book film.

“I have nothing against Marvel as an entity. I’ve seen a lot of Marvel movies,” Curtis said during a recent interview with People, before going on to clarify comments she made in May.

“What I was talking about is that Everything Everywhere All at Once was a little movie that could … and [we] were able to tell a multiverse story that really touched people,” she continues. “What I was trying to talk about was it doesn’t have to be a Marvel movie in order to be a spectacle and to really move you.”

Curtis went on to state that “if the role was interesting and if I could bring what I do to it, of course I would [work with Marvel]. What am I going to do, say no? Of course!”

A couple of months ago, Curtis playfully took shots at Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, calling it a “copycat” in a side-by-side image of both its poster and the poster for Everything Everywhere All at Once. “Is this one of those Internet feuds? All I’ll say is we would SLAY in a family feud contest with the Doctor Strange strangers,” said Curtis in her Instagram post.

Alongside the post, Curtis — who starred in the A24 multiversal film — also shared a review of the Doctor Strange sequel that saw it compared to Everything Everywhere All at Once, praising the latter for being wittier and more imaginative than the MCU entry. However, despite that, it seems as if Curtis is more than open to appearing in future Marvel films should she get the call.
