Drew Barrymore Replaces Rachel Weisz in Miss You Already

Although Rachel Weisz had signed on for the project earlier this year, it now seems that Drew Barrymore will instead be joining Toni Collette for Miss You Already. Variety has the news, updating their earlier story on the upcoming comedy drama, which will be directed by Twilight and Red Riding Hood helmer Catherine Hardwicke. Jacqueline Bisset, Paddy Considine and Dominic Cooper are also set to star.

Scripted by Morwenna Banks, Miss You Already follows two London-based best friends whose relationship falls apart when one becomes pregnant and the other becomes ill.

Barrymore starred earlier this year opposite Adam Sandler in director Frank Coraci’s comedy Blended.

Embargo Films’ Christopher Simon and Felix Vossen will produce Miss You Already with Banks and Hardwicke executive producing alongside Sheryl Crown, Nicki Hattingh, Samantha Horley, Lisa Lambert, James Norrie, Celine Rattray, Anne Sheehan, Barnaby Southcombe and Trudie Styler.
