New behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Marvel Studios’ long-delayed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 have arrived online (via Just Jared), featuring Chris Pratt and Karen Gillan. The film is scheduled to hit the theaters on May 5, 2023, after six years since the sequel’s theatrical release.

The photos, which you can check out below, show Pratt’s Peter Quill and Gillan’s Nebula as they sport the team’s comic-inspired costumes.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is once again written and directed by James Gunn. It features the return of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel as they reprise their respective roles as Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Kraglin, Nebula, Mantis, Rocket, and Groot.

Joining them are MCU newcomers Will Poulter and Chukwudi Iwuji, with Poulter confirmed to be playing the role of Adam Warlock. Before the space-traveling team makes their return to the big screen, their Disney+ holiday special is expected to be released later this year.

The titular team was last seen in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame where they were joined by Chris Hemsworth’s Thor during the final moments of the film. Because of this, some of the Guardians of the Galaxy stars, including Pratt, Bautista, and Gillan, are set to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder.
