Batgirl Set Photo Reveals Lex Luthor’s Fate in the HBO Max Film

A brand new Batgirl set photo for HBO Max’s upcoming DC film has been circulating online, which features a Gotham Globe newspaper from its Glasgow set. It teased a new update regarding DC villain Lex Luthor’s DC Extended Universe fate, revealing that Superman’s nemesis has found a new home in Belle Reve Prison. This marks the second time that Luthor’s name has appeared in one of Batgirl‘s set props, with the first one being in a Gotham Tattler magazine.

Unfortunately, the image has now been removed as Warner Bros. is attempting to wipe the photos from social media.

Batgirl’s first comic book appearance was in Detective Comics #357 by writer Gardner Fox and artist Carmine Infantino.

The live-action film will also feature the return of Oscar winner J.K. Simmons (Zack Snyder’s Justice League) and Michael Keaton (The Flash), who are set to reprise their respective roles of Commissioner Gordon, and Bruce Wayne/ Batman. Joining them are Jacob Scipio, Ethan Kai, Corey Johnson, Rebecca Front, and Brendan Fraser in his second role with the DC Universe as the villain Firefly.
