Fifty Shades of Grey’s Dakota Johnson Plans A Bigger Splash

Dakota Johnson, star of the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey, has lined up a role in I Am Love director Luca Guadagnino’s next project, A Bigger Splash. Variety has the news, reporting that Johnson will join Ralph Fiennes and Tilda Swinton in the remake of Jacques Deray’s 1969 sexual drama, La Piscine (The Swimming Pool).

La Piscine, in turn based on the novel by Jean-Emmanuel Conil (the nom de plume of Alain Page), stars Jane Birkin, Alain Delon, and Romy Schneider. It follows a triangle that develops between a vacationing couple and a younger woman.

A Bigger Splash is scripted by David Kajganich and is targeting an Italy-based production to begin next month.
