Listen to an Exclusive Track From the Revenge Thriller Catch the Fair One

ComingSoon is pleased to debut an exclusive track from Catch the Fair One‘s original motion picture soundtrack.

Composed by Emmy-nominated Nathan Halpern (Swallow), the score merges ominous orchestrations with tension-filled electronics that provide a dark backdrop to the revenge thriller written and directed by Josef Kubota Wladyka. IFC Films will release the film in theaters and On Demand on February 11.

“Native American boxer Kaylee embarks on the fight of her life when she goes undercover in a sex trafficking operation to seek answers and revenge against the men responsible for the disappearance of her sister,” says the official logline for the Darren Aronofsky executive produced film. Catch the Fair One stars boxer Kali Reis, Lisa Emery, Kimberly Guerrero, Kevin Dunn, Daniel Henshall, and Michael Drayer.

Listen to “Catch The Fair One (Reprise)” below:

For Catch the Fair One, director Josef Kubota Wladyka wanted a bold score that would honor Kaylee’s (Kali Reis) emotional journey into this dark underworld. The opening theme plays Kaylee’s heroic intentions in a melody for French Horn and Wagner Tube over dark strings and synths. Solo viola, frame drum, and heartbeat-like pulses play her forward momentum, set against deep imposing strings and ghostly electronics that grow increasingly distorted as her journey grows darker. The human-rights crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women — and the wrenching disappearance of her sister Weeta — is set to a recurring, elegaic theme for strings and electronics.
