Daniel Radcliffe Taking on Villain Role in The Lost City of D

TheWrap brings word that Daniel Radcliffe is joining Oscar winner Sandra Bullock (Gravity, The Blind Side, The Proposal) and Channing Tatum (21 Jump Street, White House Down, Foxcatcher) in Paramount Pictures’ action comedy romance feature The Lost City of D. While details on Radcliffe’s character are currently being kept under wraps, it has been confirmed that the Harry Potter star will be playing a villain in the film.

Radcliffe’s other projects include Miracle Workers, Escape from Pretoria, Guns Akimbo, Jungle, Imperium, Now You See Me 2, Swiss Army Man, Victor Frankenstein, Horns, Kill Your Darlings, The Woman in Black, and more.

The Lost City of D follows a reclusive romance novelist (Bullock) who was sure nothing could be worse than getting stuck on a book tour with her cover model (Tatum), until a kidnapping attempt sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure, proving life can be so much stranger, and more romantic, than any of her paperback fictions.

The film will be directed by Adam and Aaron Nee (Band of Robbers, Masters of the Universe) from a screenplay written by Dana Fox (How to be Single), based on a treatment by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses). The movie will also star Patti Harrison (A Simple Favor, Raya and the Last Dragon) and Da’Vine Joy Randolph (High Fidelity, Dolemite Is My Name).
