Though considered a classic for its time, the Sylvester Stallone-led sci-fi actioner Demolition Man was never one fans were clamoring for a sequel to in the star’s filmography but now it appears that Warner Bros. is developing a follow-up.

In an Instagram Live Q&A with fans, Stallone responded to a fan’s question about whether or not we would be getting a “Demo Man sequel,” to which he replied that it’s in the works and that it’s “looking fantastic.” The full Q&A can be viewed below:

The original Demolition Man hit theaters in 1993 and starred Stallone as LAPD Sgt. John Spartan as his battle against crime lord Simon Phoenix, portrayed by Wesley Snipes (Blade) in the year 1996 goes too far and lands both men in the California Cryo-Penitentiary, where they are cryogenically frozen and exposed to subliminal rehabilitation techniques. Phoenix escapes in the year 2032 after being thawed for a parole hearing and goes on a murderous crime spree, causing the now peaceful San Angeles Police Department to thaw Spartan to bring him down.

Alongside Stallone and Snipes, the film featured an ensemble cast that included Sandra Bullock (Ocean’s 8), Nigel Hawthorne (Amistad), Benjamin Bratt (Doctor Strange), Denis Leary (The Moodys), Bill Cobbs (Night at the Museum), David Patrick Kelly (The Warriors) and Rob Schneider (The Wrong Missy).

The film was a box office hit, grossing nearly $160 million worldwide on a budget estimated between $45-77 million, and was also a modest critical success, garnering mixed-to-positive reviews for its non-stop action and performances from its cast.
