Rise of Skywalker Tickets & Final Trailer Coming Monday!

We’re less than two months away from the the ninth and final primary installment in the Star Wars franchise, and anticipation is about to rise once again as Disney has announced that The Rise of Skywalkert tickets will go on sale when the final trailer premieres during halftime of this coming Monday Night Football game on October 21 between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets!

In addition to the upcoming tickets and trailer launch, AMC Theaters have announced they will be hosting a nine-movie Star Wars marathon for fans who want to catch up on the Skywalker saga thus far leading up to the final installment, a marathon that will run for 27 hours and 21 minutes! On Wednesday, December 18, ahead of it’s official opening on December 20, fans can be among the first to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker by attending Star Wars Marathon,” AMC’s website reads. “Experience all nine Star Wars saga films in one epic day. Fans will receive a commemorative pin and blanket, and a concession offer. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will start at 5pm local time, one hour earlier than regular public show times.

Returning cast members for Rise of Skywalker include Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo and Billie Lourd. Joining the cast are Naomi Ackie (Doctor Who), Richard E. Grant (Logan), Dominic Monaghan (Lord of the Rings), Matt Smith (Doctor Who) and Keri Russell (The Americans), who will also be joined by veteran Star Wars actors Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee Williams, who will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian.

The role of Leia Organa will once again be played by Carrie Fisher, using previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force AwakensStar Trek) returning to direct the ninth and final installment of the Skywalker saga. Abrams co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Terrio (ArgoJustice League). Composer John Williams, who has scored every chapter in the Star Wars saga since 1977’s A New Hope, will return to a galaxy far, far away with The Rise of Skywalker.

The film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Michelle Rejwan, and executive produced by Callum Greene and Jason McGatlin.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will debut in theaters on December 20.
