As Ellie is drawn into the story, she becomes obsessed with discovering the lovers’ identities and finding out how their love story ends.
In addition to Jones and Woodley, Callum Turner (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), Joe Alwyn (The Favourite), Nabhaan Rizwan (Informer) an Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education) have also been cast for the film.
The Last Letter From Your Lover will be directed by Euphoria’s Augustine Frizzell. It is a production by Studiocanal and Blueprint Pictures in partnership with The Film Farm. Blueprint’s Pete Czernin and Graham Broadbent will be producing along with The Film Farm’s Simone Urdl and Jennifer Weiss. Studiocanal will be financing and handling the film’s international distribution.
The novel was first published in 2010. It was written by English writer Jojo Moyes, who is also known as the author of romance drama novel Me Before You which had also been adapted into a film. Moyes’ novel has already been translated into 33 languages and has sold more than three million copies worldwide.
