Fast & Furious 9: Finn Cole, Anna Sawai and Vinnie Bennett join the chase
According to Deadline, Fast & Furious 9 has added three more to the mix — Finn Cole, Anna Sawai and Vinnie Bennett. No information was revealed about their characters, but the trio will join the ever-expanding cast that recently announced the return of Jordana Brewster as series stalwart Mia.
Cole is best known for his work on TNT’s Animal Kingdom and the Netflix drama Peaky Blinders; Sawai starred in Ninja Assassin; and Bennett starred in Ghost in the Shell and Human Traces.
Fast and Furious 9 was originally set to hit theaters on April 19 but was pushed back a year to make room for the first spin-off in the series, Hobbs & Shaw, which is now scheduled to hit theaters on August 2. As a result, Fast and Furious 9 will be getting a May 2020 release with Justin Lin returning to directing in the franchise, after helming Fast and Furious parts 3 through 6. Dan Casey will pen the screenplay from a story by Lin.
Fast & Furious 9 stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Nathalie Emmanuel, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris.
Production on Fast and Furious 9 is currently underway, and is due out in theaters on May 22, 2020.
