Warner Bros. Paramount’s Elton John biopic Rocketman opened in third place, debuting with $25 million domestically. The film opened to half the domestic opening of last year’s hit music biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody ($51 million in November 2018). Internationally the movie brought $19.2 million, giving it an international total of $32.1 million and a global total $56.2 million.

Universal’s latest micro-budget collaboration with Blumhouse Productions, Ma, opened with $18 million domestically and another $2.8 million internationally for a global total of $21.06 million.

Lionsgate’s John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum fell to fifth place, bringing in $11.1 million domestically and another $12.7 million internationally.
