We’re going to go ahead and issue a Spoiler Warning for those of you that don’t want to know about this scene in the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but it only makes sense to include in this sequel given the ending to the first film and the source material.
ClevelandHeights.Patch.Com spotted Chris Evans on the set of the film in a Cleveland neighrborhood and the scene he was filming was with none other than Hayley Atwell as an old Peggy Carter, confirming that the actress will return for the sequel in more than just flashbacks. Atwell will also be appearing as Carter in a new “Marvel One Shot” that will debut at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con and will likely be on the DVD and Blu-ray for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Set to also star Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Frank Grillo, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Scarlett Johansson, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Maximiliano Hernández, Robert Redford and Georges St-Pierre, the story picks up where Marvel’s The Avengers left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters on April 4, 2014.
