Josh Brolin & Peter Dinklage to star in Legendary’s comedy Brothers
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Academy Award-nominated actor Josh Brolin (Milk) and three-time Emmy winner Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) have officially signed on to star in Legendary Entertainment’s upcoming comedy film titled Brothers. Legendary successfully acquired the rights to film in a competitive bidding war against other studios.
Brothers will be written by Etan Cohen (Tropic Thunder, Get Hard). Further details about the film’s plot is still being kept wraps. However, the outlet’s sources described the project as something similar with Ivan Reitman’s 1988 comedy Twins which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.
Brolin and Dinklage will both serve as the film’s producers through their Brolin Productions and Estuary Films banner, respectively. American Sniper producer Andrew Lazar will also be producing through his Mad Chance Banner.
Brolin is best known for starring in two of last year’s blockbuster films Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2. He will again reprise his role as Thanos in the forthcoming Avengers: Endgame which is set to premiere on April 26.
Dinklage gained worldwide recognition for his critically-acclaimed performance as Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s Game of Thrones. The award-winning series will be returning for its eighth and final season on April 14.
