Disney Channel and Disney+ are finally bringing the Cheetah Girls back with the upcoming fourth installment of the beloved coming-of-age musical franchise. The Cheetah Girls 4 cast will consist of returning franchise stars and new cast members, who are expected to deliver the franchise’s next chapter of music and friendship to the new generation. Production will start sometime this month in South Africa.
Confirmed Cheetah Girls 4 cast
Franchise vets Raven-Symoné, Adrienne Bailon, and Sabrina Bryan are officially set to reprise their respective roles as Galleria, Chanel, and Dorinda in The Cheetah Girls 4 movie, titled The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen. Symoné and Bailon will have much larger roles in the long-awaited sequel, while Bryan has agreed to return for a special appearance. Besides them, Lynn Whitfield and Lori Alter have also been tapped to return as Galleria’s mother, Dorothea, and Chanel’s mother, Juanita, respectively. They both appeared during the first two installments.
The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen will also be introducing new cast members: Leah Sava Jeffries (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) as Galleria’s daughter Faith; Carmen Sanchez (Electric Bloom) as Chanel’s sister Dior; Kaileen Chang as Ruby; Sophie Lennon as Brooklyn; newcomer Kamogelo Ramashala as Kendi; and Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill) as Jennifré. The story follows Galleria and Chanel’s trip to South Africa, where they’ll be volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary. Joining them are Galleria’s teen daughter and her three friends, who’ll discover their voice and true Cheetah spirit as the next generation of Cheetah Girls.
Who isn’t returning in Cheetah Girls 4?
Notably missing from the returning core cast is Kiely Williams, who played Aqua Walker in all three Cheetah Girls movies. Even though the studio didn’t reveal the official reason why Williams’ character won’t be returning, fans are already speculating that her exclusion might be due to personal conflicts with her former co-stars. This was very much hinted at when Williams’ sister, Tse Meidas Williams, publicly reacted to the Cheetah Girls 4 news on X with some controversial remarks against Symoné, Bailon, and Bryan.
