Billlie fans have much to celebrate as the group’s label Mystic Story shared a positive update about two members’ hiatus. Late Astro star Moonbin’s sister Moon Sua and Billlie singer Suhyeon, who were on a temporary hiatus, will join the group soon.
Moon Sua and Suhyeon went on a hiatus from their active K-pop career in 2023. Speaking of Moon Sua’s hiatus, the music label Mystic Story noted on September 12, 2023: “Billlie’s scheduled activities from today onwards will be carried out with the five members including Haram, Haruna, Sheon, Siyoon, and Tsuki for the time being, and we will inform fans again around the time she can return in the future.”

After being inactive for almost half a year, Billlie’s Moon Sua and Suhyeon will be back to join group activities. Mystic Story stated: “Moon Sua and Suhyeon, who temporarily halted their activities for health reasons, have made efforts to recover their health while getting rest and finding stability, and at present, the health of [both] artists has greatly improved.”
“Accordingly, we have held in-depth discussions based on the artists’ own determination to return and the opinion of medical professionals, and it was determined that resuming activities would not be an overexertion.”
The label added, “following today’s announcement, they will join the group for future activities and resume promoting.”
Meanwhile, Billlie recently released their Japanese EP Knock-on Effect on February 7, 2024. The album ranked at number 14 on Japan’s Oricon Chart. Before that, the “Ring X Ring” crooners dropped their EP, The Billage of Perception: Chapter Three, on March 28, 2023.
The EP sold over 91,143 copies within weeks of its release in South Korea. It peaked at number 3 on the country’s Circle Album Chart. After the success of Billlie’s latest EP, fans are looking forward to the group’s comeback in 2024. The next comeback will likely feature all seven members- Moon Sua, Suhyeon, Haram, Tsuki, Siyoon, Haruna, and Sheon.
