IU’s The Winning: Tracklist and Album Release Date Confirmed

IU is making her comeback to the music scene after a brief hiatus. The K-pop hitmaker has confirmed the release date and tracklist of her extended play, The Winning.

K-pop’s reigning queen, IU, is famous for taking almost four years of break between each album release. Modern Times (2013), Palette (2017), and Lilac (2021) were all released with a four-year gap in between. But critics and fans have agreed that the wait has been worth it each time.

After bidding farewell to her twenties with her 2021 release Lilac, IU is set to invite fans to her new era of music with The Winning.

Release date and tracklist of IU’s new album The Winning

IU’s The Winning will be released on February 20 at 6 p.m. KST/ 4 a.m. ET/ 1 a.m. PT. Before the album’s release, the singer-songwriter dropped two tracks and their music videos, including “Love Wins All” and “Holssi.”

Fans will get two more music videos from The Winning. The title track, “Shopper,” music video will be released simultaneously with the album on February 20. Later, on February 23, fans will get the penultimate music video for the song “Shh..” featuring actress Tang Wei.

Check out the tracklist of IU’s The Winning:

  • “Shopper” (Title track)
  • “홀씨 (Holssi)”
  • “Shh..” (featuring New Jeans Hyein)
  • “Love Wins All” (music video featuring BTS V)
  • “관객이 될게 (I stan U)”

Along with a star-studded list of artists featuring on The Winning, the concept photos of IU’s new EP have raised curiosities. While Lilac was based on retro themes and melody, the new album may shift to a fresh, youthful concept.

After the EP’s global release, IU will be gearing up for the H.E.R. world tour from March 2 onwards. The first four concerts of the world tour will be at Seoul’s famous KSPO Dome. Later, she will have multiple concerts in Asia and conclude the tour in the United States.

IU will conclude her world tour on August 2 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
