Jang Ki-Yong’s The Atypical Family Episodes 3 & 4 Release Date & Trailer Revealed on JTBC

The Atypical Family episodes 3 and 4 are set to air in May 2024 on JTBC and Netflix. Starring Jang Ki-Yong and Chun Woo-Hee, the fantasy romance K-drama revolves around a family with superpowers and a mysterious woman.

In the previous episode, Do Da-Hae (Chun Woo-Hee) grabbed Bok Gwi-Joo’s (Jang Ki-Yong) after she helped his daughter. Da-Hee had approached the Bok family to scam them and, thus, tried to get closer to Gwi-Joo. Although she was aware of the family’s secret, she might not believe it. However, the ending showed that she teased Gwi-Joo that his future self came to comfort Da-Hee when she got scared at the mall.

The trailer for the upcoming episode 3 features Gwi-Joo wondering if he can touch people when he transports to the past. For context, he has a superpower where he can travel to a happy past moment but cannot touch anything or anyone. This time, his power returns with an update.

The Atypical Family episode 3 will premiere on Saturday, May 11, 2024, and episode 4 on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. KST on JTBC. The K-drama also streams on Netflix.

The episode 3 trailer shows Gwi-Joo being curious about his superpower. His grandmother, Bok Man-Heum, also wonders why she dreamt of Da-Hee wearing their family ring. She thinks that the young lady is the key to their situation, where the clan’s superpowers are slowly vanishing.

Meanwhile, Gwi-Joo throws tantrums and questions Da-Hee, “Who the hell are you? Why can I touch you, and why do I keep going back to you? What the hell did you do to me?” In response, Da-Hee implies that he is asking her out. She grabs the opportunity to make her scamming plan work.

The trailer further shows that Da-Hee will start living with the Bok family. Her mother advises, “Let’s bleed them dry,” and asks to gather evidence if they have superpowers.

The Atypical Family airs twice a week on weekends on JTBC and Netflix.
