Chief Detective 1958 episode 7 is set to air in May 2024 on MBC and Disney Plus. Starring Lee Je-Hoon and Lee Dong-Hwi, the cop-crime K-drama focuses on a team of four unlikely detectives fighting against corruption in society.
In the previous episode, Park Young-Han (Lee Je-Hoon) found out that the Deputy Director of the National Police, Choi, appointed Baek Do-Seok as Senior Superintendent. Do-Seok was Young-Han’s leader when he was a young soldier, and he had asked him to kill a pregnant woman. Towards the end of the episode, Young-Han realized that Choi and Do-Seok attacked Chief Yoo. The latter appeared at the police station to save Young-Han from false allegations.

Chief Detective 1958 episode 7 will premiere on Friday, May 10, 2024, and episode 8 on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 9.50 p.m. KST on MBC. The K-drama also streams on Disney Plus.
The episode 7 trailer focuses on Park Young-Han’s plan to expose Do-Seok. To shut down the latter’s traitor details, someone kills an informant, who is a security guard at the police station. Chief Yoo, too, tries to gather information against the corrupt officers.
Young-Han, Kim Sang-Soon (Lee Dong-Hwi), Cho Kyung-Hwan (Choi Woo-Sung), and Seo Ho-Jeong (Yoon Hyun-Soo) further find a family. They look like cow thieves but hint at a different story. In the end, Chief Yoo wants to give up on their search, but Young-Han encourages him to keep fighting.
The final scene shows an angry Young-Han telling Do-Seok, “I’ll stop at nothing to carry out justice.” He even teases the senior superintendent about his downfall.
Consisting of 10 episodes, Chief Detective 1958 airs twice a week on Fridays and Saturdays on MBC and Disney Plus.
