Chief Detective 1958 episode 5 is set to air in May 2024 on MBC and Disney Plus. Starring Lee Je-Hoon as Park Young-Han, the comedy cop-crime K-drama revolves around the lead character and his team of detectives.

In the previous episode, Young-Han solved an infanticide case with the help of his team members — Kim Sang-Soon (Lee Dong-Hwi), Cho Kyung-Hwan (Choi Woo-Sung), and Seo Ho-Jeong (Yoon Hyun-Soo). Also, he and Lee Hae-Joo (Seo Eun-Soo) shared their first kiss. The episode ended with Young-Han’s friend Sung Chil standing up for villagers against the men of gangster Viper.

The upcoming episode 5 will focus on Sung Chil’s death. Young-Han and his team are aware of the culprit behind the crime but have no evidence to prove it. The recently released photos tease Young-Han in an intense conversation with a party leader who supports the gangster.
