Channel A announced the cast list for its upcoming K-drama Check in Hanyang. The historical romance drama features popular cast members, including Bae In-Hyuk, Kim Ji-Eun, Jung Gun-Joo, and DXZ member Jaechan. The series follows the story of these individuals who joined as interns at Yongcheonlu, the largest guesthouse in Joseon. It will focus on their growth, personal struggles, and love stories as they live their youthful days.
Check in Hanyang does not have a release date yet, but the engaging storyline and casting already raise anticipation among viewers. Director Myung Hyun-woo helms the Kdrama while Park Hyun-Jin serves as the writer. The cast plays a variety of exciting characters, teasing a promising drama for viewers to enjoy.
Check in Hanyang cast: Bae In-Hyuk, Kim Ji-Eun, & more play pivotal roles in historical K-drama
Check in Hanyang centers around Joseon’s largest inn, Yongcheonlu, where a couple of Joseon dynasty individuals come to work as interns. These include Prince Lee-Eun (Bae In-Hyuk), Hong Deok-Soo (Kim Ji-Eun), Cheon Joon-Hwa (Jung Gun-Joo), and Go Soo-Ra (Jaechan). As these characters navigate their lives as youths, they also share memories and stories and potentially fall in love.
Baek In-Hyuk plays Prince Lee-Eun, who enters the guesthouse under Lee Eun-Ho. He keeps his real identity a secret for particular reasons. However, he soon encounters various incidents due to his improper manners, which land him in trouble. Lee-Eun gets on the instructor’s bad side and gets entangled with Hong Deok-Soo.
Meanwhile, Kim Ji-Eun plays Hong Deok-Soo, a woman disguised as a man. She aspires to be the general manager at Yongcheonlu while entering the guesthouse as an intern. However, Deok-Soo gets on bad terms with Lee-Eun/Eun-Ho as the duo becomes part of the same group and keeps clashing. Viewers will have to wait to see their relationship evolve in the series.
Jung Gun-Joo essays the role of Yongcheonlu’s heir, Cheon Joon-Hwa. He is not only good-looking but also has significant wealth in his fortune. Having no interest in running the guesthouse, he goes to study in the Qing Dynasty. However, his father’s opposition and anger force him to return to the inn and work as an intern.
Lastly, DXZ’s Jaechan plays Go Soo-Ra, a youthful man who doesn’t care what others think of him and says everything on his mind. He enters Yongcheonlu on a mission to rebuild his long-lost family, which suffered huge losses. Soo-Ra enters the guesthouse as an intern, hoping to become a permanent employee and succeed in this endeavor.
Bae In-Hyuk was most recently seen in the popular K-drama The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract. His other popular works include Cheer Up, Why Her?, and others. Meanwhile, Kim Ji-Eun recently appeared in the drama Branding in Seongsu. She has also played memorable roles in Longing For You, One Dollar Lawyer, and others.
Jung Gun-Joo appeared in many popular series, including Oh My Baby, Extraordinary You, Flower Ever After, and several others. Jaechan became popular for his role in the web drama Semantic Error.
