In the previous episode, Choi Myung-Yoon (Hong Ye-Ji) helped Crown Prince Lee Gon (Suho) escape her house. She hid her identity as the royal physician’s daughter and appeared as a servant in front of Lee Gon. The latter also didn’t reveal that he was the crown prince. When Lee Gon returned to the palace and confronted Queen Dowager Min Soo-Ryun, things got worse. The episode ended with one of his men stabbing him.

Missing Crown Prince episode 3 begins with Lee Gon’s friend helping him escape the palace. Myung-Yoon finds him and treats his wounds. She manages to save the crown prince’s life.

Missing Crown Prince episode 3 recap: Hong Ye-Ji’s father plans to kill Suho

In Missing Crown Prince episode 3, Myung-Yoon (Hong Ye-Ji) thinks that her father, Choi Sang-Rok (Kim Joo-Heon), wants to kill Crown Prince Lee Gon (Suho). Hence, she helps the latter hide from him.

Meanwhile, King Hae Jong confronts Queen Dowager Min Soo-Ryun (Myung Se-Bin) for hurting Lee Gon. He panics after learning that the crown prince is nowhere to be found. He believes Soo-Ryun has abducted Lee Gon. Seeing him panic, Soo-Ryun warns the king to stay calm; otherwise, she will kill everyone, beloved to him. With no other option, King Hae Jong seeks Grand Prince Do Sung’s (Kim Min-Kyu) help in finding the man Soo-Ryun has an affair with. When Do Sung approaches the person he suspects, he discovers the man is dead.

Episode 3 further shows Myung-Yoon grabbing some medicine from home and escaping before her father arrives. She bumps into Do Sung, who seems to have fallen for her. After giving him a cold shoulder, Myung-Yoon visits Lee Gon to take care of him. The next day, he looks better and seems to have developed feelings for her.

Meanwhile, her father, Sang-Rok, decides to kill Lee Gon after an astrologer predicts an ill-fated relationship between the crown prince and Myung-Yoon. According to the astrologer, one of the two will die if she becomes the crown princess. Hence, Sang-Rok plans to kill Lee Gon to save his daughter and make her the crown princess. The episode ends with Lee Gon being held captive under Sang-Rok’s order.

Missing Crown Prince episode 4 recap & spoilers: Did Suho’s brother Kim Min-Kyu betray him?

Missing Crown Prince episode 4 begins with Myung-Yoon (Hong Ye-Ji) coming to Crown Prince Lee Gon’s (Suho) rescue. She learns of her father’s plan and decides not to comply with it. Hence, she helps Lee Gon escape.

Meanwhile, Sang-Rok learns that Grand Prince Do Sung likes Myung-Yoon and proposes their union to Queen Dowager Min Soo-Ryun. For context, he wants to make his daughter crown princess so that he gets a higher position in the palace. This will likely help him build a respectable relationship with Soo-Ryun, with whom he has an affair.

Outside the palace, Myung-Yoon helps Lee Gon find out that the physician, who died in episode 3, didn’t commit suicide. Later, he meets his brother, Do Sung (Kim Min-Kyu), at a secluded place. After being betrayed by his men, Lee Gon questions Do Sung’s loyalty, which hurts him. However, they let go of the matter and plan to work together. Lee Gon tells Do Sung about Sang-Rok and Soo-Ryun.

Towards the end of episode 4, Lee Gon confronts Sang-Rok, who accepts having an affair with Soo-Ryun. Outside, Do Sung appears with royal guards to capture “traitor” Lee Gon, leaving the latter in shock. It appears that Do Sung has betrayed the crown prince.
