The Atypical Family’s Trailer Teases Chun Woo-Hee & Jang Ki-Yong’s Interaction

JTBC released another teaser of The Atypical Family, highlighting Chun Woo-Hee and Jang Ki-Yong’s interaction. One of the most awaited K-dramas is already buzzing among viewers on the internet. It is a fantasy-based rom-com.

The storyline revolves around a family who possesses superpowers. But, with modern-day problems and mental illness, the family is losing their powers. However, a sudden interaction with a mysterious woman named Do Dae-Hae (Chun Woo-Hee) might change their fate. JTBC’s recently released teaser also highlights the same motto.

The Atypical Family’s new trailer highlights Chun Woo-Hee as a color in Jang Ki-Yong’s life

JTBC shared a teaser of The Atypical Family, showing a black-and-white world through a depressed Bok Gwi-Joo (Jang Ki-Yong) eyes. However, he only sees Do Dae-Hae (Chun Woo-Hee) in color. From what it looks like, she might become a person who will bring color to his world. In the teaser, Gwi-Joo says, “I think I’m going to remember this moment for a long time. As a happy time.”

Cut to a tragic accident. The video clip shows a dangerous car accident, and Bok Gwi-Joo looks at it helplessly, unable to help or save anyone. In the next scene, Gwi-Joo and Do Dae-Hee lock their gaze on each other. In the background, Dae-Hee’s voice says, “A strange time in which the greatest joy and the greatest unhappiness of my life are mixed together.”

Bok Gwi-Joo has the superpower to travel back in time and visit the happy moments. But once he gets diagnosed with depression, it’s only the sad memories that cloud his mind. Each of The Atypical Family members has different superpowers, which are getting affected because of mental illness and modern-day diseases. This K-drama will highlight mental health issues and societal challenges.

Don’t forget to watch The Atypical Family on JTBC. It is slated to release on May 4, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. KST.
