The highly anticipated K-drama Lovely Runner is releasing in just a few days, and tvN recently dropped a webtoon poster resembling the original main poster. The series is all set to air on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 8:50 p.m. KST on tvN. It will also be available to stream on Netflix. The K-drama is a time-slip romance series that follows the story of a fan named Im-Sol (Kim Hye-Yoon), who travels back in time to save her favorite K-pop idol, Ryu Sun-Jae (Byeon Woo-Seok).
The newly released poster is a webtoon version of the main poster that showcases the lead pair’s (Byeon Woo-Seok and Kim Hye-Yoon) chemistry. Lovely Runner is based on the popular web novel The Best of Tomorrow by Kim Bbang. Meanwhile, Kim Bbang has created the webtoon version of the K-drama poster. Viewers are eagerly awaiting the release, considering the series has already become one of the most anticipated works of 2024.
tvN releases a synchronized webtoon-version poster for Lovely Runner K-drama
On Thursday, April 4, 2024, tvN released a webtoon-version synchronized live-action poster for Lovely Runner. According to a news report, Kim Bbang created the webtoon poster to commemorate the first broadcast of Lovely Runner on April 8, 2024. While the picture remains the same, with Im-Sol embracing Ryu Sun-Jae, the webtoon version raises more excitement about the upcoming series.
The news outlet also revealed that the K-drama is currently being serialized as a webtoon. The series follows the story of a fangirl, Im-Sol, who sincerely follows her favorite idol, Ryu Sun-Jae. However, she becomes devastated upon learning of her idol’s death. In an interesting twist of fate, she transports back 15 years and meets Sun-Jae when he is 19 years old. Im-Sol realizes she has the power to save Sun-Jae.
The webtoon poster has an added caption that says, “From now on, I will stand by your side and protect you!” The poster reiterates Im-Sol’s determination to save Sun-Jae. After the release of the webtoon poster, the K-drama production team thanked the web novel writer of creating the webtoon version for the series.
The team further teased what fans can expect from the series. They said (originally in Korean), “The best point to watch for [in the series] is the youthful chemistry between Byeon Woo-Seok and Kim Hye-Yoon. The passionate performances of the two actors, who are breathing life into each character, will be displayed in pleasant synergy, so please check out their romantic chemistry through this broadcast.”
