The Midnight Studio Episode 7 Recap: Joo Won Gets Jealous of Kwon Nara & a Ghost Client

The Midnight Studio episode 7 aired on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, on ENA. Starring Joo Won as Seo Ki-Joo and Kwon Nara as Han Bom, the K-drama revolves around the lead characters’ budding romance.

In the previous episode, Han Bom realized that Ki-Joo always protected her and taken care of her since her grandmother’s death. She found herself drawn to him and ended up kissing him. Sadly, Ki-Joo didn’t accept her affection and mentioned that he was only interested in her supernatural ability to form a safe zone around him.

The Midnight Studio episode 7 began with Han Bom sulking over Ki-Joo’s rejection. Moreover, she did not accept the defeat and tried to get closer to him. Although Ki-Joo denied liking her, he got jealous when a ghost client befriended her.

The Midnight Studio episode 7 spoilers: Kwon Nara helps Joo Won’s ghost client

The Midnight Studio episode 7 showed a flashback to when Seo Ki-Joo was young. One day, he welcomed a ghost girl holding the magical camera. While he was heartbroken over his uncle leaving him alone, he still fulfilled his duty as a ghost photographer.

Ki-Joo saw a similar scar on the girl’s wrist, which he has around his neck. After clicking her picture, he realized that she was a living soul. The flashback scene made viewers curious about the link between the girl and Han Bom. Coming back to the present, Han Bom looked embarrassed after the kiss incident.

When she asked Ki-Joo to give her a chance, he said he would only live at her apartment for 84 days. She assumed that he would likely take a sabbatical and thus didn’t want to get involved in a relationship. The truth was that Ki-Joo’s family lived under a curse where the male members died after they turned 35.

Episode 7 then focused further on a supernatural case. A girl named Hyeon-Joo (Yang Hye-Ji) wanted to jump off a bridge and called her counselor for the last time. Counselor Choi Hoon (Choi Tae-Joon) arrived on time to save her. Suddenly, she behaved strangely and pushed Choi Hoon off the bridge. At the photo studio, Ki-Joo and Han Bom heard the news of the accident.

At midnight, Ki-Joo had a new ghost client — Choi Hoon. Ki-Joo and his employees welcomed him and asked for his final wish. Choi Hoon requested that they find Hyeon-Joo as he wished to give her one last counseling lesson. The next day, he befriended lawyer Han Bom, who bonded with him over pro-bono cases. Their closeness made Ki-Joo jealous.

The Midnight Studio episode 7 ending: Evil spirit possesses Kwon Nara

In The Midnight Studio episode 7, Seo Ki-Joo and his employee Baek Nam-Gu were suspicious of Choi Hoon and Hyeon-Joo’s incident. Ki-Joo wondered if an evil ghost possessed either of them.

Towards the end, Ki-Joo gets hold of Hyeon-Joo, who admitted to killing Choi Hoon. She revealed that he was a stalker and didn’t know he was her counselor. On the bridge, she figured out the real identity of Choi Hoon and thus acted roughly, leading to his death.

Ki-Joo confronted Choi Hoon and learned he had become an evil spirit. After a scuffle with him and Baek Nam-Gu, Choi Hoon disappeared. Ki-Joo kept calling Han Bom to warn her about the evil ghost. When their call got connected, Ki-Joo realized that she had become possessed. The final scene showed Han Bom, possessed by Choi Hoon’s ghost, walking on the edge of the bridge. The ghost demanded Hyeon-Joo’s whereabouts in return for Han Bom’s safety.
