Who Is Jung Ji-Hyun? Physical: 100 Season 2 Contestant Forms Strongest Team

After the success of Physical: 100 season 1, the creators are back with season 2. With its first six episodes, the Korean reality series has already created quite a buzz among the viewers. The variety show is about proving who has the perfect physical fitness, beating the other 99 contestants who participated in this. Jung Ji-Hyun, the South Korean wrestler, is making his place in the game. Who is he?

Jung Ji-Hyun is a retired South Korean Greco-Roman wrestler who used to play under the 60kg category. In the 2014 Asian Games, he won the gold medal in the men’s 71kg Greco-Roman category, giving the host nation – Korea, its first winning title in eight years. After the match, he told the reporters, “I’m glad I could finish first in what could be my final game. Because I used to belong to a lower weight division, I’m smaller and slighter than most wrestlers in this class.”

He even served as a commentator for MBC in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Also, in 2022 (held in 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic) Asian Games, he served as a commentator for KBS. He participated in Physical: 100 – Underground and is ruling over it.

Physical: 100 season 2, episode 5 features the redemption round with the survival challenge. Jung Ji-Hyun made his mark as the strongest contestant. He also formed his team, including Lee Jang-Kun (South Korean Kabaddi player), Amotti, and others.

In episode 5, Back From Hell, Ji-Hyun comes out as the strongest in the survival challenge. He wrestles everyone in the game and wins the challenge. He impressed the viewers with his tricks and gaming strategy.

Watch Jung Ji-Hyun continue to play against the tougher competitors, including Kim Dong-Hyun and others in Physical: 100 season 2. It first premiered on March 19, 2024. Seven episodes are already streaming on Netflix.
