Nevertheless is a 2021 romance K-drama starring Han So-Hee and Song Kang in lead roles. The story revolves around a flirtatious man who doesn’t believe in commitment and a woman who wants to date but doesn’t believe in love.

Park Jae-Eon (Song Kang) and Yu Na-Bi (Han So-Hee) meet each other at an art university. Their relationship begins as “friends with benefits,” but eventually, they develop feelings for each other. However, they are confused about their feelings, and hence, their relationship becomes complicated.

While Jae-Eon and Na-Bi are the main characters, the second lead is Yang Do-Hyeok (Chae Jong-Hyeop). The latter is Na-Bi’s old friend who likes and romantically pursues her despite knowing about her feelings for Jae-Eon. Although the finale appears to be intense, the main characters have their happy ending.

Nevertheless episode 10 recap: Song Kang promises to stay away from Han So-Hee

Nevertheless episode 10 (finale) begins with Jae-Eon waiting for Na-Bi in front of her apartment on a rainy night. He is furious as he knows that she is coming late after meeting Do-Hyeok. In anger, Jae-Eon reveals that he saw Do-Hyeok the other day waiting for her and that he intentionally went inside her apartment to make the second lead jealous.

Listening to Jae-Eon’s outburst, Na-Bi gets angry. She says, “You said I had the right to choose what happens to our relationship. Don’t ever show your face to me again.” The two break down in their respective homes after their official break-up.

The next day, Na-Bi keeps her distance from him. While she is already heartbroken, her handmade sculpture gets ruined a few days before the exhibit. Devastated, she bursts into tears and is comforted by Jae-Eon. He assures her that he will help her recreate the sculpture and promises to stop bothering her after that. Jae-Eon says, “And when we’re done, I promise you, I’ll stay away from you.” Surprisingly, with Jae-Eon’s help, Na-Bi recreates an even better sculpture for the upcoming exhibit. As promised, Jae-Eon leaves without a trace.

Nevertheless ending: Did Han So-Hee & Song Kang end up together?

In Nevertheless finale, Na-Bi seems unhappy after Jae-Eon leaves. On the day of the exhibit, all her friends and teachers praise her artwork, but she doesn’t look thrilled. Moreover, Do-Hyeok appears to congratulate her. Despite all his efforts to win over her love, he fails and accepts his defeat. The two end things on a happy note.

Meanwhile, Na-Bi realizes that she has always liked Jae-Eon. After celebrating the exhibition’s success, she returns to the empty gallery. There, she sees Jae-Eon admiring her sculpture. She expresses her disappointment in him for leaving her like this. Jae-Eon then asks for a second chance.

They confess their feelings for each other. After Na-Bi asks Jeo-Eon out, he questions, “Sure you won’t regret it?” In response, she says, “Of course, I’ll regret it. It’s pretty obvious I will. I’ll still do it anyway.” The two smile and end up passionately kissing each other. The K-drama ends with Jae-Eon and Na-Bi in a relationship, walking hand-in-hand. Overall, the series gives a happy ending to all the characters.
