In Love Song for Illusion episode 10, Park Ji-Hoon’s King Sajo Hyeong and Hong Ye-Ji’s Yeon Wol share an emotional moment. He and his alter personality, Ak-He, are relieved to see her alive.

Sajo Hyeong breaks down seeing women’s corpses and blames himself for not being able to save them. While wandering into the village, his heart breaks looking at the villagers’ condition, dealing with hunger and poverty. He gets distracted by a rumor spreading around the village like wildfire — “The King is possessed by an evil spirit.”

On the other hand, Sajo Yung becomes furious with his current situation. He wants to get rid of the King and thus tortures shaman Cheong-Ta. He wants Ak-Hee, Sajo Hyeong’s “evil spirit,” to take over the body and get rid of the King for good. But Ak-Hee refuses to come out, even after Sajo Hyeong requests. Since Kyera broke his heart and chose the King over him, Ak-Hee decided to sacrifice his feelings for her happiness.

Meanwhile, the King confronts Sajo Yung after the latter frames innocent villagers and punishes them for women trafficking. Sajo Hyeong intervenes and asks, “You also know well who led the trafficking of our women. Do you not, Grand Prince [Sajo Yung]?” Hwang Hee’s character continues to play innocent and triggers Sajo Hyeong by mentioning the late King’s dirty laundry. Park Ji-Hoon’s character then calls the royal court, makes Sajo Yung resign, and warns other officials.

The furious Grand Prince forces Cheong-Ta to find a way to defeat the King. The shaman approaches Sajo Hyeong’s alter personality, Ak-Hee, and asks him to come out during the full moon if he wants to survive. But Ak-Hee refuses, leaving Sajo Yung more furious.
