Popular South Korean actor Jung Hae-In is all set to embark on a brand-new project. He will appear in tvN’s new romantic comedy K-drama, Mom’s Friend’s Son. The actor’s agency, FNC Entertainment, confirmed the news by stating, “Jung Hae-in has been cast in tvN’s new drama ‘Mom’s Friend’s Son.” The series will follow the story of a woman trying to rebuild her flawed life and her relationship with her mother’s friend’s son, who is an embodiment of the darker side of her life.
After his incredible performances in K-dramas like Something in the Rain, D.P., and more, viewers are eagerly looking forward to Jung Hae-In’s return to the small screen. Meanwhile, the shooting of Mom’s Friend’s Son will begin next year, and it will subsequently broadcast in the second half of 2024.
Jung Hae-In takes on a new rom-com project in tvN’s Mom’s Friend’s Son
The upcoming tvN rom-com drama Mom’s Friend’s Son will feature Jung Hae-In in the lead role as Choi Seung-Hyo. He is the son of the female lead, Baek Seok-Ryu’s mother’s friend. The drama will document their romantic love story while also featuring their checkered past and history with each other. The K-drama will see director Yoo Jae-Won and writer Shin Ha-Eun collaborate after their work together on the popular drama Hometown Cha Cha Cha.
Choi Seung-Hyo is the CEO of Architectural Atelier and is famous in the industry. He is not only famous for his work, but people also admire him for his good looks and interesting personality. However, deep down, he has issues to deal with in the form of his love life with Baek Seok-Ryu. Interestingly, these two lead characters have known each other since the age of four.
Both Seung-Hyo and Seok-Ryu met each other through their mothers. The ladies bonded with each other over banana milk in the women’s bathhouse. Subsequently, their kids became playmates since the age of four. While the mothers might share an interesting history, the kids have grown up with some bitterness.
