Welcome to Samdalri is a highly awaited rom-com Korean drama series, that is all set to premiere on Saturday, December 2, 2023, on JTBC, at 10:30 p.m. KST. Cha Young-Hoon has directed and Kwon Hye-Joo has written this show. The upcoming series revolves around the reunion of two childhood friends and ex-lovers, Jo Yong-Pil and Jo Sam-Dal. Ji Chang-Wook and Shin Hye-Sun are playing the lead pair in the series.
JTBC held an intriguing production presentation for Welcome to Samdalri on December 1, 2023. Both the lead cast and director of the K-drama were present at the event. During the presentation, actor Ji Chang-Wook opened up about his experience of working with co-actress Shin Hye-Sun. He said, “Hye-Sun was so bright in person that she was like an endorphin on set.”

At JTBC’s production presentation for Welcome to Samdalri, the lead actors, Shin Hye-Sun and Ji Chang-Wook shared their experiences while shooting for the series. They also talked about each other on set. Ji Chang-Wook said, “Shin Hye-Sun had no choice but to do it. Even while reading the script, Shin Hye-sun came to mind. It seems she was already thinking that. Breathing went without saying. She was so nice and it was a fun scene….She brought the scene to life and made it more expressive,”
Actress Shin Hye-Sun said while talking about co-star Ji Chang-Wook, “I was very excited about the news of Ji Chang-Wook’s casting. I also wondered if I was actually seeing the eyes of the ‘rom-com king’. In reality, it can be sold as a tourist product,…Yongpil in the script is really attractive, but Yongpil in the field has an even more charm.”
She further added, “Ji Chang-Wook seems to be someone who is good at adding his natural charm to the character….It was funny beyond the point of being funny. He is not a person who can’t stop laughing in front of the camera, but it seems like there will be a lot of actual laughter on the air in this scene….I was able to find more character while watching Yongpil, who was so lovely,”
