Netflix recently released new stills from the set of Gyeongseong Creature, hinting at the intense drama and bloodied battles within the drama. Park Seo-Joon is bruised from battling the monsters as he fiercely looks at Han So-Hee‘s character. Netflix also released character stills of other cast members in this historical drama. As such, it promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats with its mix of history, mystery, and the battle of survival.

Netflix reveals Gyeongseong Creature photos: Park Seo-Joon, Han So-Hee, Wi Ha-Joon in lead roles

In the newly released stills of Gyeongseong Creature, Park Seo-Joon and Han So-Hee intensely gaze at each other. The series, which is set in early 1945, showcases Korea under the Japanese colonial rule. The lead couple encounter mysterious but dangerous creatures born from greed, turning into a fierce battle for survival. However, the creatures aren’t the only danger they are faced with.

The stills also introduce other characters of the drama, including Claudia Kim, Kim Hae-Sook, Cho Han-Cheul, and Wi Ha-Joon. The photos show the settings of the drama and portray the 1945 Korea under Japan’s rule. The cross-country trope is widely visible in the choice of wardrobe, the play settings, and the vivid colors.

In another photo, Park Seo-Joon talks to a woman about to enter a cab. As per Netflix, he plays Jang Tae-Sang, the wealthiest man in Gyeongseong and the Master of the city’s biggest pawn shop. He puts money before justice and is the best at finding information. However, his battle won’t be that easy as the photos depict him tied to a chair, indicating impending danger.

Han So-Hee plays Yoon Chae-Ok, a sleuth who can track down missing people, even the ones who are dead. She promises to be the perfect aide to Tae-Sang in the battle for survival. Given that she’s had a rough childhood roaming around countries with her father, she learned many survival skills, as is evident in the photos.

Claudia Kim stands in the background of a tea shop, sipping tea and potentially playing a crucial role in the series. Kim Hae-Sook stands in a room filled with antiques, desperately looking for something. Cho Han-Cheul asks a kid for some information. Meanwhile, Wi Ha-Joon gives off a villainous vibe in the poster.

Tune in to Part 1 of Gyeongseong Creature on December 22, 2023, on Netflix.
