In She Would Never Know, Rowoon’s Chae Hyun-Seung and his sunbae (senior in Korean) Yoong Song-Ah (Won Jin-Ah) work at a cosmetic company. She doesn’t want to mix business with pleasure but Song-Ah finds out that she is in a secret relationship with their boss Lee Jae-Shin (Lee Hyun-Wook). He later finds out Jae-Shin is engaged to someone else.
Hyun-Seung helps Song-Ah to discover Jae-Shin’s truth. To protect her from more pain, he pretends to be her new boyfriend in front of Jae-Shin. Hyun-Seung, who already has a soft spot for her sunbae, falls for her and tries his best to pursue her. Eventually, he gets the girl but the job comes in between.
Song-Ah is offered a big position in Europe. Initially, the couple decides against the offer but later she accepts it. They plan on a long-distance relationship, which majorly takes a toll on Hyun-Seung’s routine. Seeing him struggle, she ends their relationship.
After a while, Song-Ah returns and wants to rekindle her relationship with Hyun-Seung. But he doesn’t want to go through all the pain again. She respects his decision but decides not to give up on him. She starts to pursue him like he did for her. In the finale episode of She Would Never Know, Rowoon’s Hyun-Seung decides to give her a second chance. He tells her to win him back.
Song-Ah succeeds in her mission and the two share a passionate kiss. The K-drama episode ends with Hyun-Seung and Song-Ah in wedding attire, holding each other’s hands.
Apart from the lead couple, She Would Never Know also featured a second pair — Hyun-Seung’s sister Chae Ji-Seung, and his company’s brand manager Lee Jae-Won. In the end, other supporting characters also have a satisfied and happy ending. Jae-Shin broke up with Lee Hyo-Joo, and Hyun-Seung’s sister Yeon-Seung filed for divorce.
