Kdramas With Happy Endings: Strong Girl Bong-Soon, Business Proposal & More

The love for K-dramas has spread all around the world. Although the content includes all genres, romance comedy is in high demand, especially the ones with happy endings.

Most Korean dramas feature romance, and fans expect a happy ending from each story. Some dramas like Strong Girl Bong-Soon and Business Proposal are fans’ favorites. The reason is these storylines include comedy, heart-fluttering romance, thriller, and a little bit of action. But the ending scene makes them classics.

There are plenty of Korean dramas with such climaxes. Let’s take a look at a few of them here:

Strong Girl Bong-Soon

Strong Girl Bong-Soon is one of the superhit K-dramas to date. The chemistry between Park Bo-Young’s Do Bong-Soon and Park Hyung-Sik’s An Min-Hyuk was incredible. Fans enjoyed their Min-Min and Bong-Bong moments, and thus, they were called back for a cameo in its sequel, Strong Girl Nam-Soon.

Strong Girl Bong-Soon is the story of the titular character who comes from a family of superhuman females. However, she fails to land a Jon due to her super-strength. Things change for her when Min-Hyuk hires her as his bodyguard. The series gave fans one of the most satisfying endings as the lead characters get married and have twins.

Business Proposal

Business Proposal is an office romance K-drama. Shin Ha-Ri (Kim Sejeong) disguises as her friend to scare away a potential match, Kang Tae-Moo (Ahn Hyo-Seop), during a blind date. But the tables turn when he proposes a contract marriage. 

The drama features swoon-worthy moments as well as a suspense plot. The two eventually fall in love, past ways, and get back together. In the final scene, Tae-Moo proposes to Har-Ri, leaving fans with a happy ending.

She Was Pretty

Park Seo-Joon and Hwang Jung-Eum’s She Was Pretty is a 2015 office romance drama. It is about two childhood friends, Ji Sung-Joon and Kim Hye-Jin, who plan to meet after a long time. When Hye-Jin realizes that Sung-Joon knew her when she was pretty, she hides her identity. Despite that, Sung-Joon develops feelings for her, and the two end up together.

The ending of the K-drama was beautiful. The lead characters have successful careers, are married to each other, and have a daughter.

King The Land

King The Land is a 2023 romance drama, starring Lee Jun-Ho as Gu Won and Im Yoon-Ah as Cheon Sa-Rang. Gu Won is a stubborn boss who gets entangled in an inheritance fight. He hates fake smiles due to his childhood trauma. Sa-Rang is the best employee at his hotel and is popular for her smile. Enemies at first, lovers at the end is what the drama is about.

The chemistry between the lead cast was incredibly charming. The director gave viewers a happy ending with a big wedding event.  

Destined With You

Destined With You is one of the hit Korean dramas of 2023. The fantasy rom-com drama stars Rowoon as Jang Shin-Yu and Jo Bo-Ah as Lee Hong-Jo. Shin-Yu struggles with a family curse but finds a solution when Hong-Jo walks into his life. But things do not go according to his plans after a love potion spell goes wrong.

The drama featured a thriller storyline, however, the romance between the lead characters was top-notch. In the end, he proposes to her.
