She made her acting debut in 2012 K-Drama School 2013 and became well known after playing the lead role in the television drama My Golden Life in 2017. Since then, the actress has only grown in popularity, amassing a wide fan base.

Shin Hye-Sun plays Queen Cheorin, who struggles to adapt to her new identity as a woman. The actress was applauded for her performance in this K-Drama, which she starred opposite Kim Jung-Hyun.

The Hymn of Death

The Hymn of Death is a South Korean television miniseries with only 6 episodes. The drama is based on true events about the tragic romance between first soprano Yun Sim-Deok (Shin Hye-Sun) and playwright Kim Woo-Jin (Lee Jong-Suk). The drama premiered on November 27, 2023 on SBS and is available to stream on Netflix.

My Golden Life

KBS’ My Golden Life is one of Shin Hye-Sun’s notable works as a lead role. She plays the role of a woman named Seo Ji-An, who mistakenly enters into a chaebol’s house as their long-lost daughter. Ultimately, she finds out that her identity has been swapped with her twin sister, and she isn’t who the family took her to be. The series documents her journey from struggles to happiness, and was released on September 2, 2017.

Angel’s Last Mission: Love

Shin Hye-Sun plays a highly talented ballerina on Angel’s Last Mission: Love, who becomes bitter and abusive to her staff at her ballet company after suffering an accident that causes her to be blind. An angel Dan (Kim Myung-Soo) is given a mission to find someone to love her if he wanted to go to heaven. In the middle of finding someone, he falls in love with her. The drama was released on July 11, 2019.
