The latest trailer of Ji Chang-wook’s The Worst of Evil sees Wi Ha-joon getting suspicious

South Korean drama The Worst of Evil focuses on Ji Chang-wook’s Jun-mo and Im Se-mi’s Eui-jeong. They are a detective duo who opt for a secret mission. Initially unaware of being on the same mission, they become close to drug lord Wi Ha-joon’s character Gi-cheul to investigate a newly-formed drug organization.

Given the nature of the mission, the couple must not reveal their relationship. But hiding the secret gets tough with each episode, making it a thrilling watch. While Gi-cheul trusts his driver Jun-mo, he spends more time with his first love, Eui-jeong. In the previous episode, Jun-mo’s secret was about to be revealed, but things got under control. However, the latest episodes 8 and 9 trailer hints that Gi-cheul gets suspicious about his driver.

The Worst of Evil trailer begins with Jun-mo sounding devastated. He informs Gi-cheul that the “council ordered a background investigation” on an accident. The clip further shows the Gagnam union decides to start trading drugs again with Lee Hae-ryeon, stating to double the quantity of an order. While they come up with a new transport plan, Jun-mo continues asking Gi-cheul about his next drug distribution.

Jun-mo’s questions make Gi-cheul suspicious as the latter asks, “You seem more obsessed with this than me?” As the video progresses, Eui-jeong asks Gi-cheul if he is upset with her and Hae-ryeon trying to get close to Jun-mo. Towards the end of the trailer, chaos ensues as the drug deal gets ruined.

The clip hints that the reason behind the mess is Jun-mo. He says, “It’s a dangerous investigation that requires risking one’s life.” Meanwhile, his wife, Eui-jeong, requests him to not go anywhere that’s “too dangerous.” With suspicions rising, the identity secret may soon be out in the upcoming episodes of The Worst of Evil.

Consisting of 12 episodes, The Worst of Evil Episodes 8 and 9 will be available to stream on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, on Disney Plus
