Update on Vijay Deverakonda’s Upcoming Project?

Vijay Deverakonda recently starred in Parasuram’s family romance drama, Family Star. Much like his previous two outings, the latest movie did not impress the viewers much. As a result, the film faced poor box office collection. Following the pale response to the movie, Deverakonda is allegedly moving forward in his career with more projects. His recent meeting with Prashanth Neel has sparked rumors.

Prashanth Neel is known for creating the KGF universe. His last movie, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, featured a star-studded cast, including Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Besides a sequel to the action drama, the director already has more projects in the pipeline. Amid his busy schedule, his meeting with Vijay Deverakonda has confused fans.

Vijay Deverakonda’s meeting with Prashanth Neel sparks collaboration rumors

According to a report by OTTplay, Prashanth Neel recently met Vijay Deverakonda at his residence in Hyderabad. Their meeting has hinted at a possible collaboration between the actor and the director. A source further claimed the two met for a casual dinner. However, rumors are rife that Neel has offered Deverakonda a role.

It is to be noted that Neel also has a movie scheduled with Jr NTR. The currently untitled film will go on the floors by the end of 2024. Rumors of the director’s collaboration with Allu Arjun are also around. Therefore, whether Neel is collaborating with Deverakonda on a project amid his packed schedule cannot be confirmed.

For the unversed, Vijay Deverakonda’s movies before Family Star were Kushi and Liger. While Liger invited many controversies and failed to entertain the audience, Kushi, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, opened to mixed reviews. It might be massive if the report is to be believed and Deverakonda met Prashanth Neel for a movie. Neel’s previous projects were bankrolled on a hefty budget after his big break that came with KGF: Chapter 1.
