Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious project Ramayana is one of the most anticipated movies. The discussion around the movie’s cast made many headlines in the past few months. After Ranbir Kapoor, it was KGF fame Yash’s name that began making rounds for the role of the lead antagonist. However, it has now been confirmed that the actor is a co-producer on the project. Here are all the details.
Yash joins Ramayana as a producer and not an actor?
According to the latest report by Zoom, Yash has joined Ramayana as a co-producer. A source from the development team revealed that Yash denied participating in the project as an actor. Moreover, he agreed to co-produce the movie after refusing a heavy fee of around $9.5 million. The source said, ” Yash desisted the offer to play Ravan for a long time. He agreed finally only as a producer. Rather than accept a fee (of around 80 crores), he agreed to come on board as a producer.” For the unversed, Yash’s home banner is Monster Mind Creations, through which he is allegedly co-producing Ramayana.
Talking about the Ramayana cast, Sai Pallavi has been allegedly roped in to play the role of Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor’s Ram. The production of the movie has reportedly begun, and a few set pictures also leaked online. As a result, filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari has allegedly imposed a ban on the use of mobile phones on the movie’s sets.
Ranbir Kapoor has already begun his training for the movie.
Earlier this month, Kapoor’s trainer shared a video of him rigorously training in the countryside. From cycling and trekking to swimming, the actor is doing it all. Sharing the clip, the actor’s trainer wrote, “Went to the countryside for a decompression week.
WIP with Ranbir.” More details on the movie are awaited.
