Ramayana Update: Filming Dates Announced For Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi’s Movie

Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious project, Ramayana, has been making headlines since its inception. With a star-studded cast and meticulous attention to detail, the film promises to be a visual spectacle like no other. However, recent reports suggest fans will have to wait a little longer before this epic tale unravels on the big screen.

The cast of Ramayana boasts some of the most talented names in the industry. While Ranbir Kapoor is set to essay the iconic role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi will grace the screen as Goddess Sita.

Joining them is KGF star Yash, who is expected to portray the formidable Ravana. Additionally, Sunny Deol will bring Lord Hanuman to life with his powerful performance. Lara Dutta is set to portray Princess Kaikeyi. On the other hand, Rakul Preet Singh is rumored to be approached for the role of Shurpanakha.

Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi likely to film Ramayana in April 2024

Originally slated to commence filming in March 2024, the production of Ramayana has faced a slight delay. According to the latest updates, the shoot is now scheduled to roll in April of the same year.

This delay comes as the filmmakers strive for perfection in every aspect of the production. They ensure that the film stays true to the spirit of the mythological epic. One of the key areas undergoing refinement is the costumes.

A look test for the primary cast was conducted in February. However, the filmmakers felt the need to revisit the costumes to enhance their scale and grandeur. Additional costume designers, renowned for their work in mythological productions, have been brought on board.

This has been done to ensure that every detail is meticulously crafted. The outfits are expected to be finalized by March 25, ensuring that they authentically capture the essence of the characters.

Director Nitesh Tiwari has been steadfast in his commitment to maintaining the authenticity of the epic while infusing it with a cinematic flair. He believes that every aspect of the film, from the costumes to the sets, must remain loyal to the spirit of the mythological narrative. As such, minor changes will also be made to the Ramayana set to enhance its visual appeal further.

The filmmakers have also announced the anticipated release date for Ramayana, targeting a Diwali 2025 release. However, an official announcement from the makers is awaited to confirm this date. With filming set to continue until July 2024, fans can expect a cinematic experience of epic proportions that stays true to the timeless tale of love, sacrifice, and righteousness.
