Thalapathy Vijay’s last outing, Leo, left the entire country stunned. The movie dominated the box office and created a massive stir among the audience. Ever since the film came out to be a blockbuster, fans have been demanding a sequel. Finally, director Lokesh Kanagaraj has addressed fans’ demands and teased Leo 2.
Leo follows the story of a humble cafe owner with a mysterious past. The film’s official synopsis reads, “Violently pursued by criminals who insist he’s a former gangster, a humble cafe owner fights to shield his family — and the truth about his identity.”
Sanjay Dutt played the lead antagonist in the movie, while Trisha Krishnan portrayed the leading lady.
Vijay is currently gearing up for the release of The Greatest Of All Time. On the other hand, he recently launched his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam and confirmed that he would change his career trajectory after completing his prior commitments. The actor hinted at quitting acting and devoting his life to politics.
Lokesh Kanagaraj reveals if Leo 2 would be possible with Vijay
During the recent Comic-Con press meet in Chennai, Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed his plans for Leo 2. The director confirmed that a sequel is a possibility.
According to Pinkvilla, he said, “Leo 2 is definitely possible, provided that certain situations have to fall into place. His (Thalapathy Vijay) ambition right now is different, so I congratulate him on that. There is always a possibility for Leo 2 and I will make it if and when he calls me.”
Further speaking about the criticism that the second half of Leo received, Lokesh said “ I have heard about the criticism on the second half of Leo and I will take it into account for my next project with Rajinikanth.”
On the work front, Lokesh Kanagaraj is focusing on his next project with superstar Rajinikanth.
