On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, producer Ekta Kapoor‘s revealed the new release date for her highly-anticipated crime thriller, Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2.
The movie is a sequel to the 2010 movie, Love Sex Aur Dhokha. Dibakar Banerjee will be directing the movie as well as producing it alongside Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures. It will explore the complexities of relationships and unveil the hidden sides of modern-day love in the digital era.
Ekta Kapoor and Dibakar Banerjee had earlier visited the Bigg Boss 16 house to cast for the sequel. According to reports, they roped in contestant Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia as the lead. The rest of the cast is yet to be revealed.

Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 to release on April 19, 2024
On February 14, 2024, the makers dropped a motion poster for Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2. The poster reveals the basic plot of the movie, which will revolve around the challenges of love in a technologically-driven world. The motion poster features a heart with pulsating social media app icons, exuding the theme of the movie. The release is scheduled for April 19, 2024.
Balaji Motion Pictures took to their social media to announce the new release date. They captioned the post with, “Yeh Valentine’s Day nahi aasan, bas itna samaj lijiye, Love Sex aur Dhokha ka dariya hai aur doob ke jaana hai! (This Valentine’s Day isn’t easy. It’s a sea of Love, Sex and Betrayal and one had to drown to cross it). #LoveSexAurDhokha2 in cinemas 19th April.”
Initially, Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 was supposed to be released on February 16, 2024. The makers had announced the sequel in 2021. In July 2023, producer Ekta Kapoor announced the same via social media. She captioned the post with, “Who needs roses and chocolates when you can have likes and reposts? From Love in the times of Camera to Love in the times of the Internet. On the Valentine’s 2024 weekend choose your poison: LOVE, SEX AUR DHOKHA! #LSD2 IN CINEMAS from 16th Feb 2024.”
Dibakar Banerjee had also directed Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010). It starred Rajkummar Rao, Neha Chauhan, Anshuman Jha, and Nushrratt Bharuccha in pivotal roles.
