Yash Next Movie Toxic Cast: Kareena Kapoor Khan To Make Her Kannada Debut?

After the success of Netflix’s Jaane Jaan, Kareena Kapoor is reportedly gearing up to make her Kannada debut in Yash‘s next movie, Toxic.

Geetu Mohandas has written and is directing Toxic, while Venkat K Narayana has produced the movie under KVN Productions. Earlier, there were reports suggesting that Sai Pallavi was being considered for the lead role before Kareena Kapoor. The movie is expected to be released in theatres on April 10, 2025.

Yash announced the movie last year, followed by a title reveal in December. The actor announced the title with a video on Instagram and wrote, “‘What you seek is seeking you’ – Rumi A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups #TOXIC.”

Kareena Kapoor will team up with Yash for Kannada movie Toxic

The makers are considering Kareena Kapoor for the lead role opposite Yash. The makers are yet to announce an update with further details about her role. Toxic will mark Kareena Kapoor’s Kannada movie debut but prior to this, Yash has worked with Bollywood actors Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt in KGF 2 (2022).

According to reports, director Geetu Mohandas and Yash are likely to make the announcement of Kareena Kapoor joining the cast soon. The movie is expected to commence shooting in a few weeks.

Toxic marks Yash’s 19th movie. The short video released alongside its title, gives a first look at his character. The video features several anti-heroes, including DC Comics’s infamous Joker. While each of these pictures is set on fire, the audience gets a closer look at Yash’s character in the movie.

The actor can be seen sporting a retro hat and holding a machine gun in his hand. He smokes a cigar while resting the gun on his shoulder. The title of the movie then plays out with the tagline, “A fairytale for grown-ups.”
