Emraan Hashmi is all set to return to OTT with his upcoming series, Showtime. The teaser for the web series recently premiered.
Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar directed Showtime, created by Sumit Roy. The web series stars Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Mouni Roy, Badshah, Vijay Raaz, Shriya Saran, Mahima Makwana, and Lara Chandani, among others. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Mihir Desai serve as executive producers. The release is scheduled on Disney+ Hotstar for 2024.

Emraan Hashmi’s first look unveiled in Showtime
The 50-second teaser clip features a storyline woven into celebrities’ lives. Showtime promises to give the audiences a sneak peek into the power struggles and off-camera drama in Bollywood. The makers announced the series in September 2022.
Karan Johar took to Instagram to share the teaser trailer. He captioned the post with, “Welcome to world which functions on – lights, camera & action! Entangled in struggle for power, Showtime is a web series that will draw boundaries…only to cross them.

In a recent interview, Emraan Hashmi talked about the show. He said, “Being in the industry for so long, I have seen both the good and bad side of it, so when this show came to me, I grabbed the opportunity of being a part of it and could resonate with it on various levels.”
He further added, “Disney+ Hotstar and Dharmatic Entertainment have been known to be some of the most quality storytellers in the industry and collaborating with them has been an incredible experience. We have always seen the audience longing to know more about what goes on behind the closed doors of Bollywood and let me just say – we have heard you all! Get ready to dive deep into the tales of Bollywood!”
