The Indian cinema has witnessed several box office clashes this year and the last one will be between Dunki and Salaar. The two movies are set to release in the third week of December and their battle has already begun. The two movies have opened up their advance bookings, and huge numbers seem to be flourishing in the US. However, Salaar’s action is outshining Shah Rukh Khan’s action comedy.
Salaar’s advance booking began a bit earlier than that of Dunki and the decision is working in the favor of its makers. Both movies’ premieres are set for December 21.
Prashanth Neel’s directorial Salaar has already sold about 22,000 tickets across 347 locations for 1119 shows in the US. As per the Times Of India, it has already minted a whopping $593,657 through these advance bookings.
On the other hand, Rajkumar Hirani’s most-awaited flick has garnered $90,292 by selling 6514 tickets. These tickets are sold across 328 locations, and Dunki has bagged 925 shows in the US.
Despite the massive releases, including Aquaman, The Lost Kingdom, and Wonka, these two Indian movies have managed to grab an impressive number of screens. As there is still over a week until the film’s release, these numbers are expected to only go up. It is difficult to say which movie will win the race, as Dunki might pace up with its sixth drop.

Ever since Salaar’s trailer came out, the anticipation around the movie has increased. The makers are now set to unveil its first single, Sooraj Hi Chhaon Banke, on December 13, 2023. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki is set for its sixth drop. The fifth one, the song O Maahi, came out on December 11. The movie’s trailer was Drop 4, which introduced SRK’s Harry.
