Farhan Akhtar Teases Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Sequel

It is an exciting day on the internet as actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar recently hinted at Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’s sequel. Taking to Instagram on October 17, 2023, the actor teased fans and gave them a glimpse of the Imraan Qureshi look (the character he portrayed in the first film).

The coming-of-age adventure drama film was directed by Zoya Akhtar. It was produced by Farhan Akhtar alongside Ritesh Sidhwani under Excel Entertainment. Aside from Farhan, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara also starred Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin in lead roles.

Farhan captioned his post with, “The Imraan look comes full circle. What say @zoieakhtar ..? Should the Bwoys head on another road trip.” After he shared the post, his co-stars Hrithik Roshan and Abhay Deol also reacted, hinting that a sequel may be in the works.

Reacting to the post, Abhay Deol commented, “I’ve had my #bagwati packed since 2012, what’s keeping you guys?.” On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan added, “Let’s goooooo!!!! along with a dancing emoji.” Director Zoya Akhtar also chimed in and commented, “My bagwati is packed.”

Excited fans of the film also started dropping in the comment section. A fan commented, “Yes yes please say @faroutakhtar @zoieakhtar .. They call Imran Majnu with love .. Waiting for the boys to take off on another therapeutic and fun trip … Because you won’t get life again.” Fans also reacted to Hrithik Roshan’s comment with, “DON’T GIVE ME HOPESSSSSS” and “just don’t carry your phone and laptop on this one.”

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara follows three childhood friends–Arjun, Kabir, and Imraan–who reunite for a three-week road trip. The trio sets off to Spain and meets Laila, who falls in love with Arjun and helps him overcome his constant need to work. While Kabir and his fiancée, Natasha, experience significant misunderstandings, Imraan tries to meet his biological father, who is an artist.

The film was done as a co-production between India and Spain. Filming took place in Spain, India, Egypt, and the United Kingdom. Following the success of the 2011 movie, fans are now gearing up to get a potential sequel of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
