Zack Wards RESTORATION hits North America May
We hate to tie veteran actor Zack Ward‘s identity exclusively to that of the beloved 1983 Bob Clark holiday favorite A CHRISTMAS STORY, but his role as “yellow-eyed” Scut Farkus, the sneering bully, is a universal pop culture calling card and one of cinema’s most enduring pint-sized villains.
And yet, that youthful turn is just one of many performances the actor is known for. The man has been in everything from TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE to RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE to TV’s LOST to Uwe Boll’s deranged POSTAL. He’s always been here and always delivers fine work.
Now, Ward has moved behind the lens, joining forces with indie genre moviemaker James Cullen Bressack ( to direct his own horror movie, RESTORATION. Due out on May 3rd on digital and July 5th on DVD from Uncork’d Entertainment, RESTORATION is co-written and produced by Ward with Bressack. The film also co-stars Ward with Kenneth Gust, Ace Underhill and Emily O’Brien also starring.
Here’s the synopsis:
While renovating their house a couple finds a diary hidden in the walls, lost for 30 years. Opening the book releases the ghost of a child that haunts their dreams and waking life, driving them to find the cause of her death and release her soul.
