It Follows isn’t it for Radius-TWC this year. Following David Robert Mitchell’s terrific breakthrough are two terror tales, both as different from each other as they are from the sexually transmitted curse. With Goodnight Mommy already announced for a September bow, the terrific Danish werewolf film When Animals Dream has been given a late August release.

The feature film debut of Jonas Alexander Arby, When Animals Dream follows a young girl discovering she’s a werewolf in her small fishing village. An inheritance from her mother, the change she undergoes brings encroaching horror to a beautiful, empathetic film. I loved When Animals Dream out of Fantastic Fest last September. It’s very much one of the best genre films of the year and will likely live in the hearts of many, next to films like Ginger SnapsLet the Right One In and even this year’s Spring

Premiering the film’s poster, Bloody Disgusting reveals When Animals Dream will be in theaters and on demand August 28th. Find the poster and an international trailer, below. For more, see Ryan Turek’s Shock review from last summer’s Fantasia International Film Festival.
