As the Cannes Market approaches, trailers debut. This one, for French-English co-production Road Games, is a proper teaser, nicely staged as a single glimpse of what hopes to be a tense thriller.
Starring Andrew Simpson,Joséphine de La Baume (Kiss of the Damned, which is highly recommended), Frederic Pierrot (The Returned), Feodor Atkine and the great Barbara Crampton (You’re Next, Re-Animator, We Are Still Here), director Abner Pastoll’s Road Games sees ‘the sun drenched days of summer turn dark and ominous for hitchhiking duo Jack and Véronique when they become inexplicably entangled with a mysterious married couple and a local road kill collector in rural France.’
