A sequel to The Haunting of Molly Hartley – entitled The Exorcism of Molly Hartley – is currently in the works at Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
Production began today on the follow-up to the 2008 film.
Shooting on location in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the sequel is directed by horror veteran Steven R. Monroe (I Spit On Your Grave, I Spit On Your Grave 2) and written by Matt Venne (Leprechaun: Origins, Fright Night 2).
The cast includes Devon Sawa (Final Destination, Idle Hands), Gina Holden (Final Destination 3, The Butterfly Effect 2) and Sarah Lind (WolfCop) as Molly Hartley, who now as an adult, has fallen under the possession of an evil spirit and must be exorcised by a fallen priest before the devil completely takes her.
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will handle worldwide distribution on Blu-ray, DVD, VOD and Digital HD for the film’s release in 2015.
