Verger was previously played by Gary Oldman in the Ridley Scott film Hannibal. The character first appeared in the Thomas Harris novel of the same name as a pedophile who was out to exact revenge on Hannibal. Who knows how Verger will be portrayed in Fuller’s show, but we’re already seeing the character’s sister, Margot (Katharine Isabelle), pop up in the series.
