Bringing these qualities to the table, we discuss how well John Carpenter’s Halloween and Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining have aged.  The conversation stems from a recent Yahoo! poll in which millennials were asked if Carpenter's classic was still scary.  Also, why were there hecklers at a recent screening of The Shining?  Is nothing sacred anymore?

Clarke and I attempt to get to the root of how the genre is impacted by different generations of movie-goers.  For instance, Clarke believes Scream features better direction than Halloween.  Hear her out…
